Two stalkers arrested in Shymkent

Tengrinews.kz – Police in Shymkent have detained two men on suspicion of stalking women. In both cases, the suspects were previously acquainted with the victims, reports Polisia.kz.

The first incident occurred after a breakup. A local resident filed a complaint with the police against her ex-boyfriend. Despite her refusal to communicate, the man continued to send her messages, call from different numbers, and come to her home and workplace, disturbing her peace.

It is specified that the woman blocked him on social media and tried to avoid any contact, but the stalking did not stop. The suspect was detained and taken into custody.

In the second case, the stalking was accompanied by the use of physical force. After the incident, the victim contacted the police. A criminal case was opened on charges of stalking and battery.

The suspect was also arrested. Both criminal cases were sent to court within 24 hours.

Police emphasized that such offenses will be strictly suppressed within the framework of current legislation.
