Three internal investigations are held in relation to the actions of policemen in Zhanaozen, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the town's superintendant, head of Mangistau oblast Interior Department Amanzhol Kabylov. Kabylov met with the participants of the blog-tour (a group of famous Kazakhstan bloggers and journalists) on December 26. “Three internal investigations are being held right now. The Department of Internal Security of the Interior Ministry along with the intelligence agency and the General Prosecution are investigating into the fact of misuse of powers by policemen and violation of the military discipline. Three people (police officers) were brought to disciplinary liability,” Amanzhol Kabylov said. Kabylov also told the bloggers who police was searching for. Law-enforcement authorities would like to talk to the owners of the video of the clashes, the women who were recording the clashes from the windown and operators of K+ and StanTV. In the first case, the address was identified, but the apartment was locked. In the second case, according to Kaylov, “General Prosecution is sending them notification after notification.” Earlier Akim (Governor) of Mangistau oblast Baurzhan Mukhametzhanov told the bloggers that the police had their own videos of the event. According to the Governor, the videos show the initiators of the clashes of December 16.
