Suspect terrorist attack planners arrested in Atyrau were sending money to Kazakhstan citizens living in Pakistan: someone named Khabidolla, Zhumabayev, Chilmanov, Munatov, Znaliyev and Utegaliyev, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to Atyrau oblast court, the money were sent via BTA Bank. “An arrest warrant was issued for 24 people, including 14 unemployed, 2 drivers, 1 vender, 2 students, 1 under-aged and 3 private entrepreneur. The amount of money transfered is unknown,” press-secretary of Atyrau oblast court Boranbai Galiyev said. Connection of the arrested people with other terrorist groups is currently being investigated. The first court hearing will be possibly held in November. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that Atyrau police apprehended a group of extremists suspected of preparing terrorist attacks. According to the Prosecutor of Atyrau oblast Seifulla Kemalov, 18 people were apprehended and six of them were arrested. However, Kazakhstan Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 20 people were arrested in Atyrau on August 31. The operation on apprehension of the criminals was held on August 29.
