On their Instagram page, the criminals posted ads for the chocolate at prices below the market rate to attract more followers.

"During the conversation with the scammers, a local resident ordered a chocolate bar priced at about 15,000 tenge and transferred the money to a bank card. After receiving the payment, the criminals blocked the victim's number. Realizing he had been scammed, the man contacted the police," the press service stated.

Officers from the Baikonur district police arrested the young men who, under the guise of selling the popular Dubai chocolate, sought to profit from naive and trusting individuals. They confessed to their guilt. A criminal case has been initiated for fraud, and the police are investigating the detainees' involvement in similar crimes.
