Aktobe police has successfully performed the operation on apprehension to the criminals suspected of murdering the road police officer Temirbek Zhaksylykbekov, KazTAG reported citing a source in law-enforcement authorities. "The shooting between police officers and the criminals suspected of murdering the road police officer has been continuing in the old part of Aktobe for several hours," the source told the agency on June 23. The 2-day operation was accompanied by all kinds of rumors spread around the city of 400 thousand people in western Kazakhstan. A alleged witnessed told KazTAG about 3 explosions they heard next to Baishev University that caused traffic jams on the roads and electricity and gas blackouts in the region. Some people also spread rumors that the criminals seized several hostages, including a famous healer known as Kadyr-Ata. Later Kazakhstan General Prosecutor's Office refuted the information about the hostages, Tengrinews.kz reported. "The gossips about explosions and the hostages are groundless. There have been no casualties among civilians. Several of the law-enforcement authority's officers took light wound. Emergency investigation is held at the incident site," the message states. "The attackers' were identified during the investigation: Zholmyrza Bekbauov (born in 1991), Gabit Kurmankul (born in 1994) and Yernazar Myrzagali (born in 1989)," the prosecutors say. All three of them were found on June 23 at 46 Krasnoschekov street in Aktobe. Law-enforcement authorities evacuated the citizens from the neighboring houses prior to the operation. "Bekbauov, Kurmankul and Myrzagali were blocked by law-enforcement authorities in the house, they refused to surrender and opened fire at the special forces officers. Two of the criminals were killed by return fire and one was wounded," the prosecutors say. The condition of the officers wounded in the operation is stable, KazTAG reports citing the head of Aktobe Emergency Hospital Saubet Kelimberdiyev. "The police officers were brought to our hospital. Their wounds are insignificant. They are in normal condition. The suspect was also hospitalized. He is also in a stable condition," Kelimberdiyev said on June 25.
