The police have already identified all individuals involved in the incident.
"An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the legal representatives of the children. The collected materials have been sent to the court for a decision. The Astana police department warns legal representatives about their responsibility for inadequate supervision of their children. We remind parents of the need to monitor their children's behavior and whereabouts," the department stated.
The Department of Education has clarified that the children involved did not understand the danger of their actions and were actually trying to film a prank video.
"According to the children, they intended to make a prank video. They were playing and did not realize their actions were dangerous. We have conducted explanatory talks with the parents, and psychologists are working with the children. The parents have apologized to the affected party, provided explanations, and agreed to the involvement of psychologists. A council on preventing offenses has been held with the parents and children. The incident has been registered with the police, and an investigation is ongoing. Measures will be taken in accordance with the law," the Department of Education said.
As a reminder, a resident of Astana previously reported that children in the neighborhood attempted to throw her 7-year-old son from the balcony of a residential complex.
