Tengrinews.kz — Since the beginning of 2026, cases of illegal arms trafficking have been stopped in regions across Kazakhstan. During joint operations by the National Security Committee, the police, and under the coordination of the prosecutor’s office, a significant quantity of weapons was seized.
According to the NSC, a total of 118 weapons were taken out of illegal circulation. These included 6 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 83 shotguns, and 29 pistols.

In addition, law enforcement officers discovered and seized 15 grenades and 859 rounds of ammunition.
