Kazakhstan citizen was apprehended at the territory of Chechnya in suspicion of participation in an illegal armed group, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing a source in law-enforcement authorities. “During a search operation in Gekhi area of Urus-Martan region personnel of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs apprehended a participant of illegal armed group, a citizen of Kazakhstan, who was taking part in the criminal group of Shamil Amayev from August 2000 to January 2001,” the source said. The authorities are currently investigating the possibility of involvement of the Kazakhstan citizen in different crimes at the territory of Russia. On April 20 this year a militant from Kazakhstan was eliminated during a special operation in Dagestan. It turned out later that he was an assistant of the expremist ideologist Said Buryatskiy who was killed in March last year.
