Kazakhstan Government held a moment of silence in commemoration of the murdered border guards, Tengrinews.kz reports. “As you know, the President declared today, June 5, the day of mourning in relation to the deaths of the border guards. I want to suggest to hold a moment of silence in memory of the militarymen,” head of the Government Krim Massimov said prior to the meeting of the ministers. On June 4 Nazarbayev declared June 5 a one-day nation-wide mourning over the militarymen murdered at Arkankergen border post of Almaty oblast. The detailed investigation of the accident is held under the President’s instruction. Earlier Nazarbayev tagged the murder of Kazakhstan militarymen a terrorist attack . On May 30 the frontier group of Sary Bokter Post of Usharal Frontier Troops of Shygys Regional Frontier Service Department discovered that the burnt barracks of Argkankergen frontier post where 15 frontier officers normally serve. The corpses of 14 militarymen were found at or near the accident site. Besides, the body of the gamekeeper of a nearby hunting farm was found next to the post. The criminal case was initiated over the accident.
