Investigation department is checking all possible versions of the terrorist attack in Taraz, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Interior Minister Kalmukhanbet Kassymov. Answering questions of the journalists on November 15, Minister said that the versions that Taraz jihadist was connected with the Soldiers of Khalifat or the Kyrgyzstan terrorists are being checked, as well as the version that the criminal bought the grenade launcher in Kyrgyzstan. "The investigation is in process, we will tell you the results later, we are currently checking all his connections. These are operational issues, we are dealing with them right now. It was a human being, he communicated with others. The investigation has just started. The President instructed me to work on this investigation. We are currently checking not only on his actions, but also actions of our employees, including the officers of the National Security Commission. He did not rule out that Kariyev had accomplices, but stated that the Interior Ministry hold by the opinion that “the active part of the attack was made by him alone”.
