A criminal group suspected of several armed assaults and murder has been neutralized in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Almaty oblast Interior Department. During apprehension of the group's leader police officers had to use fire arms, because the man tried to escape. He was shot in a leg and delivered to one of Almaty hospitals and later transferred to Zharkent hospital. 8 criminal cases have been initiated against the group on several armed assaults in Almaty oblast. The gang committed crimes in Usharal and Malyi Chigan villages and in Zharkent. The total amount of the material damage is estimated at several billion tenge. "The suspects used armouring and the traumatic gun," the message states. "The arrest was selected as the restraint measure for the criminals. The investigation is in process."
