Almaty road police apprehended 26-y.o. biker from Almaty whose burning Yamaha smashed into Toyota Avensis, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Almaty Interior Department. Both vehicles burnt down to the frame. No casualties were reported but the bike’s driver left the accident site as soon as he saw the fire. The incident happened on April 20 at the crossing of Nauryzbai batyr and Karassai batyr streets. Three other bikers helped the biker who caused the accident leave the site. Witnesses told the police that the biker most probably took the plates off after the incident and took them with him. Before that the group of bikers drove through Almaty’s central streets and in areas restricted for trucks and bikes. The apprehended citizen was taken to the Interior Department in relation with destruction of a third party’s property. The driver of the “burning bike” was previously fined a month ago for violation of maneuvering rules.
