Officers of Atyrau-Auezhai (Atyrau airport) customs clearance point have apprehended a citizen of Great Britain carrying design documents of a project of beautification of Atyrau worth 85.6 million tenge ($579.4 thousand), Tengrinews.kz reports. “During customs control of the international flight 904 Amsterdam-Atyrau the officers of Atyrau-Auezhai customs point apprehended the citizen of Great Britain, born in 1951, who carried in his luggage two files and one CD with design documentation of the Plan on Atyrau Beautification,” the department’s message states. According to Customs Control Department, the British was trying to carry the documents without declaration and shipping documents. “According to the expert check-up, the cost of undeclared design documentation makes 450 thousand Euro or 85.6 million tenge,” the department added. A criminal case has been initiated.
