Tengrinews.kz - A human trafficker has been apprehended in Kazakhstan, according to the Prosecutor's Office of Turkestan Region.

The man was detained by the Organized Crime Department of the regional police while receiving 400,000 tenge for human trafficking. Over the past two years, the suspect coerced two individuals with disabilities into begging. He was arrested and detained in Shymkent while attempting to sell them.

The involvement of another 10 citizens in human trafficking is also being verified.

"An investigation into the human trafficking case is currently ongoing," stated the Turkestan Region Prosecutor's Office.
