Police arrested 18 possible participants of Zhanaozen clashes, Tengrinews.kz reports.
“As of today Operational-Investigations Group has apprehended 20 people in line with initiated criminal cases, 18 of them have been arrested on court sanctions,” official representative of the General Prosecution said at the briefing on December 29.
Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that the General Prosecution initiated the criminal case on the use of weapons by police during Zhanaozen clashes. The suspects are not identified yet, the investigation is in process.
