On December 25 participants of a blog-tour (a group of famous Kazakhstan bloggers and journalists) met with chairman of EP KazMunaiGas Alik Aidarbayev, Tengrinews.kz reports. Aidarbayev told about the meeting with oil workers fired in Zhanaozen and Aktau. “We will create new jobs here. We met with the fired oil workers in Zhanaozen today and met with Karazhanbas field workers yesterday and told them: “Let’s open an advanced drilling company here; it will be rendering services to Ozenmunaigas. Especially since we have a plan to increase drilling in future. But we need a good modern company, maybe involving a world-leading investor, so that we don’t open something that we already have,” Aidarbayev said. Chairman of EP KMG added that not everyone wanted to work in a new company. “We have invited them, but they say they want to go back to where they have worked before. But their positions are already filled and firing those who have been employed instead of them is also illegal. Some of them are still thinking, some say that they will not work, some agree,” he said. There are around 1,000 fired oil workers.
