Kyrgyzstan’s debt to Kazakhstan for the natural gas it supplied has reached $10.6 million, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kyrgyzstan Minister of Energy and Industry Osmonbek Artykbayev as saying at the meeting on the coming fall-winter period attended by the country’s Prime-Minister. As usually the largest debtors are the country’s state-run companies like BishkekTeploKommunEnergo and Tokmon Heating Supply Company. Kyrgyzstan Prime-Minister Zhantoro Satybaldiyev recommended heads of oblast administrations to urgently pay the gas debts. “If you don’t have the money, sell your expensive cars and pay your debts. We should not continue have any of the debts, to make sure that our people live comfortably through the coming winter,” the Prime-Minister said.
