General Director of KazMunayGas Exploration Production JSC (KMG EP) Abat Nurseitov has resigned from his post, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of the company.
The Board of Directors of KMG EP granted his request for resignation. The official cause of the resignation is transfer to another job.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of KMG EP Christopher Hopkinson thanked Nurseitov for his sizable contribution during the stabilization period of the company’s operation. Dastan Abdulgafarov, CFO, was appointed Acting CEO to replace Nurseitov. The Board of Directors of KMG EP will decide on the appointment of a new CEO in the nearest future.
Abat Nurseitov was appointed CEO of KMG EP in January 2013. He superseded Alik Aidarbayev as the CEO. Nurseitov had worked at KMG EP since October 2006. Before the appointment he worked as the Deputy Director General for Manufacturing.
KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC is a subsidiary of National Company KazMunayGas, a state-owned oil and gas company of Kazakhstan. KMG EP was created through merging Uzenmunaigas and Embamunaigas oil companies in March 2004.
