Air Astana to get a new Boeign-767 in May: Company’s President Peter Foster

Air Astana National Airline is expected to get a new Boeign-767 in May, Newskaz.ru reports, citing the Company’s President Peter Foster as saying. Other Boeing aircraft are to be delivered in 2017 and 2019, he said when speaking at the extended sitting of the country’s Transport Ministry. Earlier the country’s media reported that back in February 2012 Air Astana had signed a contract for three Boeing-767 aircraft, two of which were delivered in 2012. Besides, within the contract the Airline is to get three Boeing-787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. According to Peter Foster, the Company’s fleet consists of 29 aircraft, including 10 aircraft fully owned by the Company. The average age of the aircraft stands at 6 years old. Last year the airline purchased 6 new aircraft, launched 8 new routes and decided on construction of a hangar at the Astana airport.
