Air Astana is ranked second in The Skytrax-2011 list of the Best Airlines of Eastern Europe, Tengrinews.kz reports citing public relations department of Air Astana. British independent research company Skytrax polled the passengers and ranked the Kazakhstan airline as second in Eastern Europe category of the world rating. According to Skytrax a href="http://www.airlinequality.com/" target="_blank">website, Qatar Airways was tagged the best airline of the year. Singapore Airlines won the second prize and Asiana Airlines were the third in the list. Russian Aeroflot was number one in the list of East-European airlines, followed by Air Astana and Hungarian Malev that was ranked third. SWISS airline was ranked first in Western Europe. Turkish Airlines were tagged the best in Europe and Singapore Airlines – in Asia. Passengers in India and Central Asia prefer Kingfisher Airlines, while Hainan Airlines are the best in China. Air New Zealand turned out to be the best in Australia and Oceania, South African Airways – in Africa, Qatar Airways – in the Middle East, Air Canada (JetBlue among local airlines) – in North America, TACA – in Central America and TAM – in Latin America. Skytrax also considered in-flight services and entertainment. The passengers said best flight-assistants work in Asiana Airlines and the best entertainments are offered by Emirates Airlines.
