The principle shareholder of Kazkommertsbank Nurzhan Subkhanberdin has sold a part of his common shares in Kazkommertsbank (KazKom) to Kenes Rakishev, Tengrinews reports.
Kenes Rakishev obtained 22 526 438 shaers (2.82% of the total amount of common shares, according to the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). In the course of the previous deal in March, Kenes Rakishev purchased 127,777,704 common shares of KazKom which made him a major shareholder of the bank. As a result of the new deal, Rakishev owns 28.67% or 228 642 743 shares of KazKom and Subkhanberdin owns 5.99% or 47 800 962 shares. Other major shareholders of the bank are Central Asian Investment Сompany (23.27%), Alnair Capital Holding (28.08%), Samruk Kazyna National Wealth Fund (10.72%). The remaining 3.27% is held by minority shareholders.
According to Forbes.kz, Nurzhan Subkhanberdin, 50, is among the top 50 richest people in Kazakhstan with a fortune of $980,000,000, so as Kenes Rakishev, 35, whose fortune is estimated at $684 000 000.
