Kazakhstan historical action movie Zhauzhurek Myn Bala (1000 Brave Boys) by Akan Satayev grossed almost $2 million in the first two week-ends, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Kazakhfilm press-service.
It made $1,853 million to be exact. Screening of the Kazakh language version of the movie was increased by 30%. Their number went up from 120 to 150 screenings a day. There are still no empty seats in the cinema-halls.
Zhauzhurek Myn Bala was released on May 3. The movie set a new record by taking almost one million dollars in the first week-end. The movie was presented at the Film Market of 65th Cannes Festival on May 17.
