Kazakhstan's composer and pianist Rakhat-Bi Abdysagin, 14, has won an award at the international composers contest in Yalta held on November 1-3, NewTimes.kz reports. The young talent performed two of his compositions at the contest. The audience and jury was especially impressed and excited by the one called Cry of a summer bird. Composers from Ukraine, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries participated in the competition. Most of the contestants were professional composers, music teachers, postgraduate and students of different conservatoires. Rakhat-Bi Abdysagin graduated the Tulebayev Children Music School. Now he is a student of Almaty's Gymnasium No. 159. Audience appreciated the mastery of the Kazakhstan composer very highly at the music festival in Paris in May.
