A young composer and pianist from Kazakhstan Takhat-Bi Abdyssagin has opened a music festival in Paris, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the event’s organizers. “Erik Satie music festival was held in Paris on May 16-19. Works of the great French modernist of the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century were played by musicians from Italy, England, Switzerland, Israel, France and other countries. The only Kazakhstan representative at the festival -- young composer and pianist Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin -- opened the concert with his own work called Satie-style Suite made of 6 parts and written by him at the age of 13,” the organizers said. The work and performance of the talented young man from Kazakhstan received high praise from the festival’s audience. “His suite very delicately and accurately reproduces the spirit and style of the great composer, as well as the atmosphere of the French era he lived in,” the organizers cited one of the guests.
