A world famous violinist, Kazakhstan people’s artist and laureate of state prizes Aiman Mussakhojayeva opened this year's season of the state academic symphony orchestra in Almaty. The orchestra is administrated by Vag Papyan, Tengrinews.kz reports. The fans of the classic music got a chance to enjoy Weber’s Euryanthe Overture, Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D major, as well as Franck’s Symphony in D minor. According to Lev Meizerovich, senior administration of Zhambyl Kazakh State Philharmonic Hall, every music group has its own date for season opening: the wind band opened its season on September 10, Tlendiyev folk band did it on September 14. The season opening concert of the state choral chapel took place on September 19. “Today we were honored to play with violinist Aiman Mussakhojayeva. This is a violinist so famous she needs no special introduction. The program she has chosen is very difficult. There are symphonic things that haven’t been played for a long time. Weber’s Overture has not been played here for the last 15 years for sure,” Meizerovich said. Aiman Mussakhojayeva had recently come back from Switzerland where she was part of the jury of the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. According to her, the season opening ion Almaty is a big fest for performers, conductors and the audience. She also added that classic music tradition is starting to settle back in Kazakhstan: people who come to the concerts in Almaty are already starting to understand symphonic music. “This Brahms’ concert is a very powerful thing for me. I had an honor to play it in Warsaw and Berlin. I plan to play it in Bangkok and other cities. I am playing it in my favorite Almaty, our cultural capital, today. Those who come to the concerts already understand music well and understand the style and the images. All that gives me a good vibe,” Mussakhojayeva said. Aiman Mussakhojayeva is a well-known Kazakhstan violinist. She played on almost at all the main stages of the world. Member of the International Arts Academy and dean of Kazakh National Music Academy, she is frequently named the Artist of the World. By Daniyar Bozov
