Hollywood star Jean-Claude Van Damme is planning to come to Kazakhstan, nv.kz writes. The organizers of Van Damme's trip, former head of Karaganda oblast department of physical culture and sport Nurgazy Zharylgapov and businessmen Erik Kulkeyev told that the star would come to Kazakhstan to shoot his new movie. The script for the movie was written by a Kazakhstan scriptwriter. According to Zharylgapov, he knows Van Damme personally. He took part in Behind Closed Doors reality show starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and taught him boxing and drinking vodka. "Van Damme was very interested in boxing and Kazakhstan. He is fond of Asia in general and when he visited the film festival in Astana several years ago, he was impressed with out country. He would like to take part in a historical movie and play Chengiz Khan or Tamerlan. By the way, he watched our movie Nomads and was moved by it. He said he would have played the main character better," Zharylgapov said. According to Zharylgapov, he got to the reality show by accident. Van Damme called him when he was in the UAE and suggested that he takes part in the shooting. A month ago the star invited the Karaganda citizen to Belgium. Kulkeyev accompanied Zharylgapov in this trip. It turned out that Van Damme eats horse meat and drinks soymilk. "He trains a lot and takes good care of himself," the entrepreneur said. "Horse meat is good for a diet. That's why Van Damme eats it. And he drinks soymilk. That's why in his 53 he is in such a good shape that many young people do not have." Kulkeyev and Zharylgapov said that the idea of shooting a movie with Van Damme in Kazakhstan emerged during that trip. "We contacted the famous Kazakhstan filmmaker Akan Satayev. By the way, he was born in Karaganda, too. Akan promised to think about it. If Van Damme likes the script, he will not only play the lead character, but will also become the movie's producer, i.e. there will be no problems with financing," Zharylgapov said. The return visit of Van Damme to Karaganda is scheduled for December. The tournament devoted to boxer Galym Zharylgapov will be held during that time. The timing of Van Damme's trip will depend on his schedule.
