100 most popular Kazakh songs have been uploaded on Prime Minister Karim Massimov’s official website, Tengrinews.kz reports. Kazaktyn Zhuz Ani (100 songs of the Kazakhs) project timed to the 10th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence has been launched on Prime-Minister’s official website. “Kazaktyn Zhuz Ani project is the first attempt in the last decades to systemize musical heritage of Kazakhstan. The project includes 100 most popular Kazakh songs. The project is called to support and promote of the country’s cultural heritage,” the PM’s official website writes. The idea of creation of the music project belongs to Karim Massimov. Kazaktyn Zhuz Ani program was on national TV channel weekly and the residents selected 100 most popular songs via SMS-voting. Music, lyrics and video can be found on Karim Massimov’s website.
