Meeting of guitarists from all the regions of Kazakhstan was held in Almaty. The players brought their rare instruments, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Yerlan Kokeyev. According to him, the goal of such informal meeting was “to unite all the musicians, to promote musical development and share experience.” Prominent guitar players of Kazakhstan gave some master-classes as part of the event. “Igor Chechel, musician, presented a large of his collection. I’ve got some guitars made in 60s as well,” Kokeyev said. “Some of the rare guitars were for sale and were auctioned. Some of the musicians played and showed their talent.” Kokeyev plans to hold guitar mini-festival every month. The first meeting was held on May 30 in Almaty Retro-Shlyager Club (58 Dzhandossov Str., corner Aymanov Str.)
