Kazakhstan movie The Dash directed by Kanagat Mustafin won the third place at All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival in Best Feature Film nomination, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Almaty-based Kazakhfilm studio.
“Frankly speaking, we did not expect to receive a prize at this festival, as over 100 movies from all over the world took part in it. We are very glad. We are very thankful to Kazakhfilm studio for giving us an opportunity to shoot this movie that we are currently receiving the awards for,” the movie's producer Aidarkhan Adilbayev said.
All the movie production team led by its director went to the festival to receive the award. The festival was held in Los Angeles on November 10-13.
Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that The Dash already won the third place in Best feature film about sport nomination at the 8th international sport films festival Atlant in September 2011.
