Astana classical music lovers and guests of the capital will have a chance to enjoy Puccini’s masterpiece on May 9th, 11th and 12th. Israeli conductor Daniel Oren and director Luca Ronconi collaborated to present Tosca at its best.
“The opera that was written more than a century ago is one of the most played operas in the world. The melody of the opera is well know to the general public because it was used in many films with dramatic plot twists and betrayals as in the opera itself, ” the press-office of the opera house said.
Margherita Palli’s decorations will bring the 18th centuryItaly into life to portray the period of unrest under the treat of Napolion’s invasion.
The director focused on a love story of the painter Mario Cavaradossi and celebrated singer Floria Tosca who became involved in the political unrest and fell victims of despotism and torture.
