Eurovision-2012 winner Loreen from Sweden is going to headline the 3rd Eurasian Music Awards (EMA 2014) in Almaty, Tengrinews reports citing MuzZone, a Central Asian music channel that organizes the event.

The popular music fest will be held at the Central Stadium in Almaty city on September 20.

There are 10 nominations including Best Male Singer, Best Female Singer, Breakthrough of the Year, Best Band, Best Music Video and etc. 8 to 18 singers are competing in every nomination.

The selection process is divided into three stages. In the first round that takes place from May 1 to June 30 six semi-finalists are selected via Internet voting per each of 10 categories. In the second round on July 1 to August 31 three finalists are selected per each of the 10 categories via SMS voting (one SMS message costs 50 tenge).

In the third and most important round, the jury consisting of 15-20 leading music professionals selects the winners. The names of the jury members are kept secret until the nomination to avoid lobbying on the part of producers and singers.
