Tengrinews.kz – An atmospheric video by renowned Kazakh kobyz player Olzhas Kurmanbek has gained attention on social media, this time filmed in the Mangystau region.

Olzhas Kurmanbek shared the video on his Instagram page. To film an interesting video, he specifically visited two locations: the Valley of Balls, otherwise called Torysh, and Mount Sherkala.

The video has already received dozens of comments, with social media users noting the unique and captivating nature of Kazakhstan. Notably, people from different countries shared their reactions.

"The fantastic landscapes of the motherland and the sounds of the kobyz leave a lasting impression," commented one user. Others chimed in, "Wow! The beauty you capture is stunning!" and "Greetings from Mexico! We hope to see you here soon!" "What an impressive place. This is my first time seeing it. The kobyz fits so well into this landscape," another viewer wrote.

Kurmanbek shared that the filming process took about 1.5 hours.

"The locations are quite far from each other, making it a bit challenging to carry the instruments. The rocks are not slippery. As far as I know, we didn’t need a filming permit there. We shot the video on October 5," he noted.

Olzhas Kurmanbek often travels across Kazakhstan, creating atmospheric videos in various corners of the country.

In September 2023, Senator Bekbol Orynbasarov noted that the unique ‘balls’ of Torysh in the Mangystau region are being looted and destroyed by marauders. In his parliamentary inquiry, he recalled that the area holds significant tourism potential. According to him, such unique natural "balls" exist in only a few countries. He also pointed out that the status of these stones is not established in regulatory documents.
