Kazakhstan Realtor movie directed by Adilkhan Yerzhanov was awarded with the White Chameleon Award at the 6th Cinema Digital Seoul Film Festival that was held on August 22-28 in South Korea, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Kazakhfilm Film Studios.
“There were 11 jurymen at the Asian Festival, all of them young Korean directors and film experts. They represent the future Korean cinema and the new trends of Asian film-making,” Adilkhan Yerzhanov said. “The future of film-making that I saw there was in synthesis of animation, traditional shooting and versatility. Korean audience perceived my movie the same as Russian audience did; they understand everything and laughed where they should. I think, some cultural congeniality appeared between the movie and their perception.”
Yerzhanov also added that this award was the sixth prize for his movie that had taken part in eight different Film Festivals.
Realtor movie was awarded with special Jury Prizes at Russian Kinoshock-2011 Festival in Anapa and DeboshirFilm – Pure Dreams-XIV Festival that was held in Saint-Petersburg and also at the 7th international Eurasia Film Festival and VIII Dubai International Film Festival. The movie was also screened as part of Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival-2012 in Brazil and was awarded with the Grand-Prix of Kinolikbez International Festival of Independent Films.
