Kazakhstani guitar player Artur Mashurov of Nodario band is taking part in the Guitar Solo Contest 2015, Tengrinews reports.
In the first round, Mashurov who participated in the Na Vershine Tengri (On Top of Tengri) festival presented an improvisation on a given theme. The finalists will be chosen by voting of viewers and 12 judges. 10 brightest and most talented musicians will compete for the main prize in the final of the Guitar Solo Contest. The names of the lucky finalists will be announced on April 7, 2015.
The judges include famous guitar players Martin Miller, Tom Kuehl and Al Joseph. The winner will get an opportunity to work with the famous label JTC. Other 9 finalists will also be awarded prizes from the organizers.

Mashurov previously competed in many musical contests. He got in the Top 100 of the Guitar Solo Contest. Mashurov did not make it into the final that time, but said that the competition gave him valuable experience. In an interview, Mashurov advised beginners to seize all opportunities by taking part in competitions and festivals.
