Kazakhstan movies festival to be held in Boston and Washington

Steppe Flowers: Panorama of Kazakhstan Cinema festival will be held in the U.S., Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of KazakhFilm. The movie festival will be held in Boston and Washington on November 14-18. "The festival will give American audience a unique opportunity to get to know modern culture of Kazakhstan. The festival is called to facilitate rapprochement of the countries and cultures via the cinema," KazakhFilm writes at the website. The event will be supported by Kazakhstan Embassy to the United States. The festival's program includes: A Gift to Stalin, Kelin, Letters to an Angel, The Dash, Seker and Akkyz. The movies will be presented by filmmaker Yermek Shinarbayev. The movies will be shown in Goethe Institut, Freer Gallery of Art, Kennan Institute, Museum of Fine Arts. Most of the movies will be demonstrated free of charge. The cost of the tickets for some of the movies will vary from $4 to $11.
