Kazakhstan Harmony Lessons director Emir Baigazin jury member at film festival in Locarno
Kazakhstan's director of Harmony Lessons Emir Baigazin is a member of the jury at the International Film Festival in Locarno, Switzerland, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official website of the festival.Baigazin with other five famous cinematographers is to going choose a film that will receive the main prize in the Leopards of Tomorrow category. Italian film critic and director Adriano Aprà is the chairman of the jury of this category.Locarno Film Festival is an international film festival that has been annually held in the city of Locarno, Switzerland in August since 1946. After the Cannes and Venice festivals and together with the Karlovy Vary fest, Locarno is the Film Festival with the longest history and it is accredited by FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association). The main feature of the festival is the open-air screening space at the Piazza Grande, with room for over 8,000 spectators, and with one of the largest open air screens in the world. The film festival will be held on August 7-17, 2013. The Locarno Film Festival is well known worldwide to be a festival of discovery. Throughout its history the festival has discovered new trends and launched the careers of numerous directors and actors. Although the festival is aimed at films, rather than at stars and glamour, several well-known personalities of the international film industry have been to the Locarno International Film Festival in recent years.
