Kazakhstan rock and ethnic bands are preparing for the first open-air festival The Spirit of Tengri that will be held in Almaty on June 8, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to Tengri FM radio that is organizing the event, the open-air show will be held at the platform near Mega Alma-Ata (#247A Rozybakiyev Str., not far from the crossing from Al-Farabi Av.) and will last for 3 hours. The organizers promise to make it superb and unique at least because this will be the first time such event is held in the country. Kazakhstan will be represented by 5-6 bands. The festival will also include performances of guest bands from Bashkortastan, Buryatia, Tyva, Mongolia and other countries. Presentation of The Spirit of Tengri “We have gathered today in Tengri FM radio headquarters to discuss the action plan with participants of the first festival of ethnic music The Spirit of Tengri. This will be a unique show. Besides Kazakhstan performers (including Korlan and Naiya singers, Aldaspan and Roksonaki bands, Tengri project and Assem), the festival will also include performers from other countries,” Creative Editor of Tengri FM Sergei Maiboroda said. During the meeting the artists discussed organizational issues, as some of them will be performing in duets. “The entry to the festival will be free and this will be an outstanding open-air show. Believe me, this is the very music and are the very bands that are worth listening to,” Maiboroda stated. Assem band's Zhylama Zhuregim video
