Famous Hollywood director Chuck Russel visited Kazakhfilm studio during his participation in Eurasia film festival, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing the studio’s press-service. “During his visit Russel noted that he heard a lot about Kazakhfilm and wanted to see where Kazakh movies are made, that is why he was very pleased to accept the invitation to visit Kazakhstan,” the press-service noted. Hollywood film-maker checked out technical base of the studio and met the president of Kazakhfilm Yermek Amanshayev. They discussed possible participation of the film studio in Russel’s new project. Chuck Russel made The Mask with Jim Carrey, The Mummy Returns or The Scorpion King starring Dwayne Johnson, Eraser with Arnold Schwarzenegger and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
