Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica will take part in Russian-Kazakh historical drama called Zhangir. Big Game, Cinemotion writes. The winner of two Cannes Golden Palms will play the role of count Mikhail Miloradovich. The movie tells about a journey of the Kazakh ruler Zhangir-Kerei khan to Saint-Petersburg prior to the Decembrists revolt. Kazakhstan filmmaker Roza Orynbassarova is the author of the movie and the script was written by poet Olzhas Suleimenov. Russian party is represented by Lenfilm studio. Besides, Kusturica is planning to shoot his next movie in Russia. Only its subject has been unveiled so far: the problem of organs trafficking in Kosovo. According to the filmmaker, this subject is not freely discussed in Serbia, that’s why he will not be allowed to shoot the movie there.
