A Kazakh ethnic rock group Aldaspan has recorded several tracks in Kazakh and Spanish together with a Cuban singer Isaac Real Blanco, a Tengrinews correspondent reports.
Isaac has lived in Almaty for five years. He is quite popular in Kazakhstan for his participation in "The Voice of Kazakstan" musical show.
An unexpected collaboration has already produced two songs: Ay Maria and Dudarai.
The first song Ay Maria very harmoniously combines traditional Kazakh sounds with Spanish motifs, giving the tune a more vivid texture.
The second act is a well-known and loved Kazakh folk song Dudarai. The Cuban sang part of the song in Kazakh and the other part in Spanish.
The two songs are already on the Kazakh youth radio Zhuldyz FM.
"The idea was to combine two dissimilar genres. Aldaspan plays rock using an electric dombra [a contemporary version of the Kazakh national instrument], we decided to unite and create a unique content. As a result of this creative experiment we got an interesting product," producer of Pantograph center Arman Ismailov said.
