A short movie called Cevirmek (Turn) shot by Khakan Kanmaz, a chemistry teacher at Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum in Atyrau, received the third prize at the International Festival and Culture in Turkey, Tengrinews.kz reports. The movie was made by the teacher and his students in the Turkish language. A student Azamat Tokmurziyev played the main character and his classmates played the other parts. It took the group 2.5 months to make the movie. It was shot in the lyceum. The jury mainly evaluated the ideas and the messages that the authors tried to deliver through their movies. The annual Festival of Language and Culture in Turkey includes several contests: poems reading, singing, painting and linguistics. The video contest was included into the program for the first time in 2013. Taking part in the contest requires the contestants to win selection contest and be the best in their countries. The contest was participated by students from 140 countries who are learning the Turkish language.
