9-year-old Daneliya Tuleshova has been awarded the People’s Choice Award at the Junior New Wave-2015 contest held in Crimea, Russia on August 11-13, Tengrinews reports.

Daneliya received the biggest number of viewers’ votes, including online votes. More than 13,000 people took part in the voting process and nearly 5,000 of them voted for the participant from Kazakhstan, which made young singer Daneliya Tuleshova the ultimate winner in this category.

On the first day of the competition, the young Kazakhstani amazed the juries - Lev Leschenko, Phillip Kirkorov, Alexander Rybak, Yulia Savicheva, Sergei Lazarev, Roberto Kel Torres and the chairman of the jury Igor Krutoi.

However, on the second day, Daneliya lagged behind other competitors.

The first place went to a 12-year-old singer from Malta and winner of the 2013 Junior Eurovision contest Gaia Gauchi.

Daneliya Tuleshova is Almaty native. She studies at a Physics and Mathematics School.

She was the winner of Kazakhstan's Ayalagan Astana-2015 children's music competition, which enabled her to represent her home country at the Junior New Wave contest. "When I was choosing the songs, the most important thing for me was that the song fit my voice and manner of performance. It means a lot to me that ьн friends supported me and are happy for my successes. Friends inspire me to perform various songs. I am very glad that I am participating in the Junior New Wave," the young singer.

Here is the video of Daneliya's performance at Ayalagan Astana contest.
