Tengrinews.kz - A Kazakh film about children with disabilities has gained recognition at the California Short Film Festival.

The documentary project titled "Шектеусіз үміт" (Endless Hope) was produced under the guidance of producer Daniyar Valiulla.

The film received two awards: "Best Documentary Short Film" and "Best Film Highlighting the Issue of Childhood Disability"

The film portrays the lives of five families whose children diagnosed with cerebral palsy face seemingly insurmountable challenges every day.

Director Marat Teleuov noted that despite their health issues, the children continue to dream.

"They study, make plans for the future, and socialize, receiving immense support from their parents," he shared.

The filming process encompassed not only the daily lives of the families but also the work of specialists at centers dedicated to helping children with musculoskeletal disorders.
