Done in 60 Seconds competition that is annually held by Jameson Empire Awards has kicked off in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports.

Any Kazakhstan city may shoot a 60-second remake of any film and upload it at the Jameson Empire Award website starting from October 4 and until December 15. The main requirement of the contest is that the remake is 60 seconds long. Famous Kazakhstan film critic Oleg Boretskiy will chair Kazakhstan jury for the third year in a row.

The Kazakhstan filmmaker who wins the contest will represent Kazakhstan in the final contest in London in March 2013.

Almaty citizen Indira Suleymenova won the Grand Prix of the contest with her remake of Black Swan last year. The organizers of the contest say that professional level of Kazakhstan remakes is constantly improving and that Kazakhstan filmmakers have good chances of winning this year award as well.
