The 10-year-old boy from Astana competed with young singers from 10 countries in the Professional Vocalist category.
He has been in music since the age of 6. His mother, who is an actress of Kuanyshbayev Kazakh Drama Theatre, was his first singing teacher. His father is a producer.
Mukhammedali Zhugunusov is a prize winner of the 2nd International Children's Art Festival Almaly.kz that was held in Almaty on March 20-24, 2014.
Mukhammedali is not the only success of his mother. His elder brother Rustem Zhugunusov, 18, is already a well known singer in Kazakhstan. He was among the finalists of Kazakhstan's X-Factor show.
Rustem also participated in the Paradise Holiday-2014 competition in Greece, but in a different age group of course.
He posted a video of his performance in the final that got him the contest's first place on his VKontake page.
