Tengrinews.kz - Due to worsening weather conditions, drivers are advised to exercise caution on the roads.

According to QazAvtoZhol, as of 10:20 on January 8, traffic restrictions have been introduced on four highways across five regions.

  • Almaty region – the "Approach to Almaty-Tau tourist base" road (kilometers 0-15), from Tuzbastau village to Beskainar village.
  • Zhambyl region – the Almaty-Tashkent-Termiz road (New Kordai pass) (kilometers 159-238), from Otar village to Kainar village.
  • Kostanay region – the Zhezkazgan-Petropavlovsk road (kilometers 252-339), from the Ulytau region border to Arkalyk city.
  • Ulytau region – the Zhezkazgan-Petropavlovsk road (kilometers 137-252), from Ulytau village to the Kostanay region border.

Snowfalls will also affect the following regions:

  • Almaty
  • Akmola
  • Aktobe
  • East Kazakhstan
  • West Kazakhstan
  • Zhambyl
  • Pavlodar
  • Turkestan
  • North Kazakhstan
  • Karaganda
  • Kostanay
  • Abai
  • Zhetysu

It is worth noting that the drop in temperature and snowfalls create unfavorable conditions for movement. It is recommended to plan routes in advance and be prepared for possible delays.

Drivers should be attentive and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. It is strongly advised to avoid long trips during bad weather, if possible.
