Tengrinews.kz – A digital system that allows vehicle owners to be notified about various road situations has been introduced in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiyev, at a government meeting.
The service allows users to enter a vehicle’s license plate number and send anonymous notifications to the vehicle owner in cases such as open windows or obstructed access.
"If you notice that a car has been left with an open window or is blocking the way, you just need to enter the license plate number and select the situation. The driver will receive an anonymous notification. We hope this service becomes a tool of mutual assistance and civic responsibility," said Zhaslan Madiyev.
According to the Ministry of Digital Development, the service is available through the eGov Mobile application.
To use the service, the user needs to:
- Log in to the eGov Mobile app and go to the “Popular Services” section;
- Select the service “Notify the car owner about an issue”;
- Indicate what needs to be reported to the vehicle owner and click the “Continue” button;
- Enter the vehicle’s license plate number and click “Send message.”
After the request is submitted, the system automatically identifies the vehicle owner via the Ministry of Internal Affairs information system and sends them a notification. If push notifications are enabled, the message will be instantly delivered to the owner’s smartphone. Otherwise, the information will be available in the “Notifications” section of the app.
“This new service is especially relevant in conditions of heavy urban traffic, where promptly informing the vehicle owner about issues can help prevent unpleasant situations,” the Ministry’s press service noted.
