Match “Kairat” vs “Pafos”: central streets to be closed in Almaty

Tengrinews.kz – A UEFA Champions League match between Kairat and Pafos will take place today at Almaty Central Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 21:45.

Due to the event, heavy traffic is expected in the stadium area. Residents and fans are advised to plan their routes in advance and use public transportation.

Traffic will be temporarily restricted on Abay Avenue and nearby streets — Baitursynov, Satpayev, and Shevchenko — during the match.

To help spectators return home after the game, 60 additional buses will operate along key routes:

• Central Stadium – Almaty Arena (A1 route, westbound via Abay Ave.);
• Central Stadium – Raiymbek / Alatau (A2 route, westbound via Abay Ave.);
• Central Stadium – Almaty-1 railway station (A3 route, northbound via Baitursynov St.);
• Central Stadium – Orbita district (A4 route, southbound via Baitursynov St.);
• Central Stadium – Zhuldyz district (A5 route, eastbound via Abay Ave.);
• Central Stadium – Almaty Airport (A6 route, eastbound via Abay Ave.).

Organizers urge fans to arrive early, follow stadium entry instructions indicated on their tickets, and maintain order to ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees.

In previous group stage matches, Kairat lost to Sporting (4:1) and Real Madrid (5:0), while Pafos drew 0:0 with Olympiacos and suffered a 1:5 defeat against Bayern Munich.
