Participants of the bike race timed to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence named the worst roads in Kazakhstan, Express K writes. According to biker Oleg Bukhantsev, East-Kazakhstan oblast “has are no roads, only directions.” Bikers also complained about disrespectful attitude of local drivers towards bikers. Bikers were not let ahead on the roads, they were forced to the roadside and in general were not treated as rightful participants of traffic. The bikers are even planning to hold a protest campaign and switch to camels. The bikers liked the roads in Almaty oblast the most. They evaluated roads in Astana and Karaganda oblasts as “good” and roads in Pavlodar oblast as “satisfactory”. 40 participants of the race from different cities of Kazakhstan covered 3.5 thousand km as part of the race. They started in Almaty on July 2.
