Tengrinews.kz - Astana light rail transit (LRT) assets worth almost a billion were transferred to the state, according to the capital's prosecutor's office.
The agency conducted an analysis of the execution of court decisions in favor of the state, including in favor of City Transportation Systems LLP (formerly Astana LRT), the sole founder of which is the capital's akimat.
"As a result of the measures taken by the prosecutor's supervision, 40 real estate objects were transferred to the state's balance sheet by the debtors, including: 39 non-residential premises, a land plot with railway tracks with an area of 12.8 hectares with the intended purpose of servicing the real estate object of the asphalt concrete plant. The total value of the transferred assets amounted to 920 million tenge," the Astana prosecutor's office said in a statement.
According to official data, another 37 properties with a total value of 615 million tenge are at the stage of being sold to the state.
